Trump: ‘If I Lose in 2020, It Will Rain Spiders for at Least a Month’

WASHINGTON D.C. — During a tweetstorm on Monday afternoon, President Trump claimed that it will “rain spiders” if he loses his 2020 reelection bid.

Trump supporters have responded with the hashtag “#KeepAmericaSpiderFree,” a reference to his “Keep America Great” slogan.

The Millennial Snowflake Research Center (MSRC) recently took to the streets, in order to gage the public’s response to Trump’s remarks.

“Spiders terrify me,” Albert Leonard, a jewelry salesman from Colorado, said in an interview. “I don’t agree with the President’s rhetoric, but the idea of spiders falling on my head is fucking horrifying. We have no choice but to back Trump.”

However, not everyone we spoke to seemed moved by Trump’s threats.

“Spiders keep the insect population low. Who knows? Maybe THEY will drain the swamp!” Hannah Brown, a history teacher from Minnesota, told the MSRC. “If the choice is between a torrent of arachnids falling from the sky, and four more years of fascism, then bring on the spiders!”
